“ I was commuting home from work along the blvd, traveling south. The SUV that hit me was travelling north and took a left turn onto 43rd avenue south. The driver claimed he didn't see me when he made the turn, because the sun was in his eyes. He was towing a boat and was accelerating into the turn to avoid oncoming car traffic behind me. We collided in the middle of the intersection and I got knocked off my bike and sent flying. The driver received a citation for negligent driving I believe. It's a dangerous spot on summer evenings because the sun *is* shining in drivers' eyes and riders travelling south bound are coming out of shadows cast by large trees along the road. ”
