Thanks to our database of input so far, and to excel, here are some numbers to think about:

 98% of respondents reported they were obeying the law when the accident occurred

 75% of incidents involved a vehicle, 25% of the accidents resulted from infrastructure

 1 in 5 of the accidents involving another vehicle were hit-and runs

 74% of accidents resulted in physical injury and 35% resulted in damage to the bicycle 21% resulted in both. Only 13% of the accidents reported no damages.

Only 34% of accidents were reported to the authorities

 92% of cyclists reported that they were wearing a helmet at the time, and
90% of the cyclists riding at night were using lights when their accident occurred.
